The interior illumination of the glasses interrupts the patient’s optical contact with his environment (elimination of nystagmus-inhibiting fixation). The illumination of the new LED nystagmus spectacles is provided by diodes arranged in a circle behind a luminous plate, which produce a diffuse light of adjustable brightness without any fixable luminous points affecting the examination result.<\/p>\n The timer function makes it easy to observe the deflections within a specified time period (30, 60 or 90 seconds).<\/p>\n For the cable versions of the LED Nystagmus Spectacles, the automatic on\/off function can be deactivated. Here, one minute after the timer has expired, the illumination turns off; picking up the LED Nystagmus Spectacles again automatically turns them back on.
